Significant people


This term we will be looking at two significant people in History. Before we learn about them, let's find out what is meant by 'significant person'. Use the powerpoint below to find out who is classed as a significant person in history and why. Play the powerpoint as a slide show to hear an audio version with explanations about each person.

Activity 1: can you group them to show why they are considered important people in history?

Activity 2: place these photos in a diamond 9 showing the most important person at the top and the least important person at the bottom. Explain to someone in your home why you think they are important/not very important. Do they agree with you? Do they have a different idea?
