Sports Day - Wednesday 14th July

We had a lovely Year 1 sports day today! Despite it being a very different sports day, the children enjoyed themselves and showed great sportsmanship. There was lots of noise cheering along their team members and fun was had by all.

The races all children participated in were: obstacle race, egg and spoon race, jumping for distance, throwing for distance, throwing for accuracy and relay race. This was followed by a delicious ice pop :). Please take a look at the photos.

Thank you families

We just wanted to take a moment to thank our families for all of your support with children returning to school. We have been delighted to welcome children back and see our classrooms full of their smiles and to hear laughter once again. They have adjusted well being back at school, keeping to the new safety procedures and shown an enjoyment in being back.

In year 1 we have been reading the story “Colour Monster” which tells the story of a little monster whose feelings are all mixed up and of a little girl who helps him to work them out. Below is the link should you like to share this story at home with your children. We then discussed why we sometimes feel different feelings and who can help us to work them out. Children then made their own little worry monster for their feelings.
